Responsibilities:
Design ranking models to power the search engine that allows recruiters to proactively reach out to candidates. Build the ranking solution that can understand the input query, fetch the relevant results, and re-rank them based on the business needs while factoring in the employer needs, the job seeker needs, and revenue constraints, using machine learning (“ML”) algorithms that are trained on large amounts of data and updated on a regular basis to improve the business results and the job seeker experience. Recommend data-driven solutions and write new functions and applications in programming languages to conduct analysis. Build the infrastructure to support the ML-based operations such as training ML models, deploying ML models to production, and monitoring them. Build tools to enable data exploration and analysis to expedite the delivery of the various models that the team owns. Test, validate and reformulate models to enhance ZipRecruiter’s search engine. Improve the site search experience by leading efforts to develop a better search experience on ZipRecruiter’s site and mobile applications. Collaborate with ZipRecruiter’s front-end developers to integrate search-related functionality such as auto complete for the query, facets, and filters. Position will be headquartered in Santa Monica, CA but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.

Educ./experience:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Coursework must include Advanced Topics in NLP (Natural Language Processing), Random Processes, and Distributed Systems. Position will be headquartered in Santa Monica, CA but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
