Senior Software Engineer for Los Angeles Capital Management LLC in Los Angeles, CA, to support the on-going design, development, and production of the firm’s proprietary investment models (10%); support technology tools and processes related to investment decision making, trading and back-office operations (10%); create innovative technology solutions to meet our company’s technical and business needs (20%); suggest and implement improvements in owned products (20%); liaise with software engineering team, QA, business analysts, infrastructure and application support (15%); create demos and proofs of concepts to show ideas and new features to product teams and users (5%); perform code reviews and provide helpful feedback (5%); utilize industry standard best practices when designing and coding (5%); and utilize multiple programming languages depending on the need (10%).



Requires: Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a software engineer (or related occupation) developing software applications in a financial services environment or, alternatively, a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience as stated.

Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Designing, developing and maintaining web applications and services using .NET, Entity Framework and C#; Building highly scalable and responsive applications using RabbitMQ, SignalR and Redis; Building and orchestrating continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions; Performing business and systems analysis throughout the entire Software Development Lifecyle; and Performing code reviews in Stash and GitHub to ensure code is designed and developed according to industry standard best practices.
