GNRSystems, Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking MSBI Developer(s) to analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of Computer and Information Science principles and concepts, as well as experience with software development and solutions to perform the following duties:

Job responsibilities and duties include:
• Collaborate with team members to gather and understand solution requirements.
• Independently design, develop, and test software solutions, including ETL processes and BI reporting.
• Ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
• Monitor and support existing ETL jobs.
• Develop SSAS cubes and related components.
• Create end-to-end test transactions and maintain solution documentation.
• Train end users and technical support staff.
• Proactively address business needs.
• Create SQL datasets for reporting and explore data using Power BI.
• Maximize productivity through effective time management and communication.
• Modify and enhance existing programs.
• Implement common APIs and write clean, object-oriented code.
• Perform core technical tasks in software development.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders

Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Computer and Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field of study, plus at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:
1. T-SQL, PL/SQL, PYTHON, Spark SQL
2. SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
3. MS SQL Server, Oracle, MS Visual Studio, MS Azure
4. PowerBI, Tableau
5. ERWIN, Visio

No travel. No Telecommuting. Job duties project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require employee to relocate at the end of each project.
