POSITION SUMMARY:
The Occupational Therapist uses assessment and treatment to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of people with a physical, mental, or cognitive disorder and well-being and quality of life for patients of all ages.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:
Responsible for evaluating factors affecting a patients performance in areas of activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), rest and sleep, education, work, play, leisure and social participation.
Responsible for evaluating fine motor skills and upper extremity function.
Responsible for evaluating motor-development in the pediatric and adolescent population.
Responsible for developing treatment plans appropriate for the individual patient/client, utilizing interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in ADLs, IADLs. Knows how to progress activities and incorporate precautions.
Sets goals and monitors progress, is responsible for documenting daily notes, interim notes, progress notes and discharge summaries, communicates with physicians.
