Duties and Responsibilities: Accounting Manager
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll and taxes
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
Follow proper accounting procedures
Maintain accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits as needed
Monitor cash and reconcile bank statements monthly
Maintain internal controls and company processes and procedures.
Assist with payroll as needed
Cross train with other front office duties including but not limited to processing payroll, project closeout and submittals, change orders etc
Prepare union reports monthly
Understanding of Sales/Use tax and preparation of monthly filings
Preparation of job cost statements
Maintain employee files
Monitor safety and job related injuries
Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule: Full time, on site; Monday Friday: 7:30am-4pm;
Required Qualifications:
Proficient in accounting with a minimum of five years full charge experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in accounting, finance, or relevant work experience
Experience in public building construction a plus
