Position Summary: As a Project Engineer (III), you will be at the forefront of our engineering services, ensuring the quality and technical accuracy of assigned systems. This role is designed for someone who has not only mastered all aspects of their previous position but is eager to take on new challenges and lead projects independently.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead standard small projects and support portions of large or complex projects.

  • Forecast project needs, schedule technicians, and mentor less experienced engineers and technicians.

  • Take an active role in client meetings, early design discussions, and final document development.

  • Edit basic specifications within the related discipline.

  • Apply knowledge of current principles and practices to resolve routine engineering, design, and coordination issues independently.

  • Serve as a technical resource on the project for the application of standard concepts, principles, and methods.

  • Develop and refine methods, techniques, and skills in the technical area of expertise.

  • Keep informed of new methods and developments affecting the technical area of expertise.

  • Provide lead engineering services for standard small projects or substantial portions of complex/larger projects.


Qualifications:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.



  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering plus 3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ongoing education to maintain technical proficiency in design practices, building codes, energy codes, and sustainable design.

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or working towards it.

  • Active LEED professional credential (LEED Green Associate or LEED AP).



Skills and Abilities:



  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Analytical ability to interpret and report on systems and issues.

  • Proficiency in relevant software, including Bluebeam, Trane Trace 700, Revit, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.

  • Proven problem-solving ability and sound judgment.

  • $75K 85K Salary DOE + Bonus
