Job Title: Senior Cost Analyst
Location: Richburg, SC Facility (Relocation Assistance: Available)
Job Type: Full-time, direct hire perm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in operational rate development, cost planning, analysis, month-end reporting, and inventory transactions.
- Act as the accounting/finance leader for the facility, supporting decision-making and driving month-end close processes.
- Engage in process improvement and project-based work.
- Independently work within a matrixed environment, demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset.
- Serve as the primary financial contact at the facility, providing necessary financial information and analysis.
- Monitor inventory batches, resolve variances, and ensure proper accounting treatment throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist in annual planning for variable/fixed costs and departmental expense budgets.
- Lead the annual physical inventory count and support the cycle count program.
- Collaborate with plant finance teams to understand cost variances and drive total cost reduction.
- Generate monthly financial reports and analytics for operations review.
- Partner with operations to track and report cost saving initiatives, calculate ROI for capital projects, and evaluate financial impacts.
- Periodically evaluate labor and overhead rates.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting/cost experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with inventory transactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accounting experience in a multi-location, mid-to-large company.
- Background in process manufacturing and understanding of inventory transactions.
- ERP experience in a manufacturing setting (Oracle preferred).
- SQL experience.
- Previous project management experience.
Skills:
- Self-directed with strong leadership and communication skills across various organizational levels.
- Ability to explain finance/accounting concepts to non-financial managers.
- Strong inclination towards embracing and driving change.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Inventory reserves.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Additional Information:
- Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree
- The ideal candidate should have over 3 years of experience in Cost Accounting.
