Senior Product Safety and Compliance Engineer
Salary Range: $147,000-165,025 per year

Work with qualified third-party test lab or National Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) to evaluate and certify HMI products to required industry safety and compliance standards and certification marks, including: S2, NFPA 79, CE, UL, CB and EMC. Receive product safety and compliance certification requests from programs and projects. Work out the certification requirements. Manage schedule and cost with both internal Engineering department and external third-party test lab. Manage and own hardware compliance certification process and keep all parties involved to provide deliverables on time. Responsible for communicating with design engineers, product management, and third party on technical questions and information clarification. Work with project team to define compliance and safety requirements based on the nature of semiconductor equipment for new product and determine compliance test methods. Work with engineering team to solve product safety and compliance related issues found during compliance test. Function as expert of industry hygiene and safety compliance requirements on HMI products, including modules and final products. Communicate with customer to address any non-compliances in compliance evaluation reports. Maintain certification documents for continued compliance. Ensure updates align with the latest industry standards and evaluate how the changes affect HMI products internally. Act as an expert on HMI product Safety Risk Assessments (SRA). Facilitate and manage SRA sessions and follow up mitigation actions with related departments during new product development.

Master’s Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, Public Health or related field and three (3) years of experience as a Product Safety Engineer or a related position.
