The job duties include the following:
1. Conduct specialized research and analysis of cutting-edge technologies and emerging trends in financial software, data and analytics, collaboration software, and frontier technology services utilizing startup databases including Pitchbook, CB Insights, and Crunchbase.
2. Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel tools, including Excel macros, to perform technical analyses of potential investments within the broader landscape.
3. Evaluate investment opportunities using due diligence processes to assess economic value and forecast future performance performing product analysis and roadmap using tools such as PowerBI.
4. Analyze market potential for innovative technologies and develop comprehensive financial and valuation models using Excel and PowerPoint.
5. Perform strategic and technical evaluations of portfolio companies using Excel, focusing on their financial situation, cash management, unit economics, efficiency, margin analysis, and long-term success and profitability potential.
6. Utilize extensive financial metrics, including burn rate, customer acquisition costs, profits, and operating costs, to drive insightful decision-making and create robust investment theses based on up-to-date regulatory and competitive industry knowledge in Excel.
7. Provide strategic guidance on competitive analysis to C-level executives at existing and prospective portfolio companies and provide support through utilizing tools such as GPT, Notion and Kmong.
8. Deliver concise and compelling presentations and communicate research findings and analysis to the investment team using PowerPoint.
9. Cultivate strong relationships with founders, investors, and the broader venture capital community, continuously expanding knowledge, and perspectives on emerging trends through primary research using Pitchbook, CB Insights, and Crunchbase.
10. Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques and leverage insights from reputable sources including Pitchbook and Crunchbase to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, generating data-driven recommendations to optimize business operations and enhance investment performance.
11. Assist portfolio companies in formulating strategies for successful product launches, scaling initiatives, and identification of operational efficiencies using business and financial analysis tools including Firstbase, Carta, Kmong and Mailchimp,
12. Conduct analysis of startup capital needs, advising founders and the board on financial burdens utilizing legacy ERP/CRM applications such as DealCloud and identifying viable funding opportunities.
13. Monitor market and economic developments across diverse industries, providing detailed reports assessing the financial and capital impacts of investments for the organization by collecting data from various sources and analyzing market data from software including Bloomberg, PowerBI.

May Telecommute.

Will travel approximately 10% of the time within the United States to engage with partners, further enhancing professional relationships and expanding networks.
The position requires one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related. Experience must include:

a. Conducting financial analysis using Excel.
b. Use of PowerPoint, LinkedIn, Crunchbase and Pitchbook.
c. Performing market analysis and research using Bloomberg and CB insights.
d. Conducting competitor's analysis using CapitalIQ.
e. Experience with Firstbase and Carta.
f. Use of GPT, Notion and Kmong.
g. Use of Legacy ERP software including DealCloud.
Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
