Tradelink LLC seeks Database Administrator at its facility located at 71 S Wacker Drive, Suite 1900, Chicago, IL 60606. Collaborate with the team on the design of optimal DB schema configurations for a clustered, highly available database environment in MySQL. Test and provide performance metrics for different DB schema configurations to confirm stability and high availability. Build out a clustered, highly available database environment in MySQL. Responsible for performance measurements and tuning. Setup and support replication across various database instances. Work closely in coordination with the systems team to advise on, and test new hardware configurations. Work closely in coordination with various development teams for implementing and optimizing a new DB schema. Setup and maintain database monitoring and alerting enhancements. Periodic maintenance including backups/restores and version upgrades. Support existing relational and time series databases across various datacentres. Provide quick response to production issues to help eliminate downtime ensuring high availability. Responsible for off hours production support for various database instances. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field plus 5 Years of experience as a Database Administrator or a related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: 1. MySQL database administration specific to HA setup experience; 2. Optimized system configuration for a replicated, clustered HA MySQL setup; 3. MySQL database installation and maintenance in Linux Environment; 4. Large scale database/data warehouse migrations from one solution to another; 5. MySQL Monitor; 6. MySQL query bottleneck identification and optimization techniques; 7. Write stored procedures, triggers, custom functions; 8. Configuration and maintenance of time series databases. Eg. influxDB; 9. Support other relational databases. Eg. Sybase, Microsoft SQL; and 10.
