Lexington County School District One seeks to hire for multiple World Language Teacher – Elementary School French Immersion positions in Lexington County, South Carolina. The candidate must have a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Education, French, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent. Additionally, the candidate must have a valid South Carolina teaching certificate with an appropriate specialization and be fluent in French.



The specific duties of the position include the following: (i) teach subject matter to elementary school students in the target language (French); (ii) teach cultural appreciation, pronunciation, spelling/vocabulary, grammar, and/or comprehension to elementary school students in target language (French); (iii) translate curriculum materials into the target language; (iv) create supplemental materials to enrich the curriculum in the target language; and (iv); perform other duties as assigned including tutoring elementary school students, curriculum writing, peer evaluations and/or similar duties. Position may transfer to a different building within the district’s metro-statistical area (MSA) to accommodate the business needs of the district.
