Position: State and Local Tax Director

Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Taxation, Accounting, or related. 2 years of experience as a Senior Manager, Accountant, or related. Experience must include: Preparing and filing complex tiered partnership and complex combined/separate company corporation state and local income and franchise tax returns. Managing the timely and accurate preparation and review of state income tax provisions. Managing multi-state controversy matters, including IDR responses, conferences, relationship management, and assistance with settlement negotiation. Advising clients and creating complex model regarding state tax issues involved in various merger and acquisition transactions, including bankruptcy, debt restructuring, and entity restructuring.



Duties: Oversee with the annual tax preparation of Bridge’s partnership and corporate entities that range from single asset joint-ventures to multi-asset funds and blockers. Analyzing state income/franchise tax filing requirements on an annual basis to ensure accurate and timely filing Review State tax returns prepared by Bridge’s tax service providers. Review joint-venture and fund State K-1s prepared by Bridge’s tax service providers before being released to investors. Resolve tax notices from state and local jurisdictions and prepare written correspondence as needed. Gathering of information necessary for state audits. Preparation of quarterly/periodic estimated State tax and tax withholding calculations for the partnerships and corporations within the various fund structures. State tax calculations as requested by the accounting department or upper management. Managing information requests from Bridge’s tax service providers. Preparation of non-resident withholding waivers. Oversee the administration of composite return elections. Liaise with Investor Services and Bridge’s tax service providers to gather investor information needed for composite returns, K-1s, and other tax documents. Perform tax research into state and local tax issues. May supervise tax preparers.
