Lead Systems Software Engineer FPGA - US BASED, FULLY REMOTE

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Software Engineer to spearhead and contribute to systems software engineering endeavors in the development of cutting-edge automated test systems and software-defined instruments. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in crafting systems software architecture and delineating hardware and software interface prerequisites across various developmental stages, right up to market deployment.You will lead the develop of the software interface, user interface, and control software for RTSAs. You will lead the design of software architecture, implement signal processing algorithms, and develop graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for controlling and visualizing the captured RF signals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support systems software engineering tasks for the creation of automated test systems and software-defined instruments, including spectrum analyzers and Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers (RTSAs).
Develop and refine systems software architecture to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
Define comprehensive hardware and software interface requirements, facilitating seamless integration between systems throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in developing robust test system software architectures.
Prior work as an Systems Engineer, Systems Software Engineer, RF Engineer, DSP Engineer, or FPGA Engineer is desired.
Advanced proficiency in FPGA development.
Strong background in RF Electronics.
Previous involvement in projects within the defense or aerospace sectors is advantageous.
Familiarity with radar component testing methodologies.
Expertise in developing automated test hardware and software is highly desirable.
Proficient in computer systems and processors, logic devices, and interfaces.
Exposure to hardware/software integrations.
Proficiency in MATLAB and LabVIEW.
Ideal candidates will hold degrees in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in RF.

This roles is US based, fully remote. Some travel to company headquarters and customer sites will be requested.
