Our company is a Geotechnical, Environmental Engineering, and Construction Material Testing Consulting firm that provides services to Municipal and Provincial government bodies and their agencies, developers, prime-consultants, contractors, and land owners.

We are looking to add a qualified engineer in the field of Geotechnical Engineering and Materials Engineering. Successful candidates will have experience in Geo-Environmental Engineering. Experience with Ont. Reg. 406/19 for excess soil disposal is considered an asser. Hands-on experience in laboratory materials testing is also an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Principal Engineer in the field and laboratory testing of construction material, geo-environmental investigation, and preparation of reports
• Geotechnical investigation for development and construction projects, and the preparation of reports
• Report field and laboratory work, and execute the necessary coordination for a variety of development facilities and infrastructural facilities, including wet utilities and pavement structures
• Professional engineering services include: inspection and certification of deep and shallow foundations, retaining walls, RSS walls, slope stability, structural excavation, soil sampling for geo-environmental purposes, ground water, monitoring, field analysis, etc., for conformity with contractual obligations
• Organizing and supervising of laboratory testing of field samples for classification of soils and other necessary parameters needed for the scope of investigations

Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
• 5+ years post-graduate experience in the field of geotechnical engineering and material testing.
• Familiarity with geotechnical computer programs for analysis of stability of slope, retaining wall etc. (e.g. INT, Plaxis 2D LE), aand well as AutoCAD
• G or G2 driver's license (required)
