On the Potomac River, 30 minutes (5 miles) south of DC.

Experience you'll need: 3+ years of nursing experience, Oncology experience needed, Associates Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred, OCN preferred or willing to obtain, knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer is preferred, Virginia RN license (compact state), Current CPR certification required

As the Oncology Nurse Navigator you are responsible for providing individual assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to overcome health care system barriers and provide timely access to quality healthcare within a community oncology setting.
Assess and monitors therapy of patients.
Assists physician with exams and procedures.
Triages patient/family phone calls as needed and documents relevant information.
Assesses patient/family needs and provide education.
Demonstrates awareness of community resources available to patients and assists with referrals if necessary.
