Responsibilities:
Diagnose trucks for immediate repairs, such as distressed diesel engines and burned-out clutches. Circuit test truck equipment electrical, hydraulic and air systems based on observational and mechanical bench testing as well as information provided from operating and proof testing the equipment
Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailer equipment including batteries, lube oil and filter changes, and be able to inspect brakes, and identify engine and transmission leaks
Highly desirable is the ability to read and understand OPERATOR MANUALS on various well known utility equipment manufacturers such as ALTEC, VERSALIFT, AND TEREX cranes. Previous experience in heavy duty hydraulic equipment of any kind very desirable, such as FARM EQUIPMENT, EXCAVATORS, SKID STEERS, BULLDOZERS and SKIPLOADERS. WILL TRAIN A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE.
Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, electrical, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. Be able to identify and determine parts required for repair on disassembled components on a truck chassis, and communicate clearly to the Parts Dept for ordering required parts
Maintain neat and work area appearance always observe safety procedures
