Business Operations Manager (Whatnot Inc; Culver City, CA): Analyze business operations and collaborate with different stakeholders and departments across the company. Analyze the current platform and determine root-issues and mitigation options in onboarding processes. Work on the company’s expansion strategy by researching potential categories to launch into and in what order based on potential impact to the company. Measure the competitive landscape of the industry, estimate what share of the market the company has, and determine how this is trending over time. Manage selection and implementation processes for new providers of tools. Understand the impact of the incentives and commission rates on sellers, and strategize how to best make the company’s platform help their business. Build a process to onboard and manage top sellers and celebrity partners. Work with the special projects team to coordinate large events. Work with the business operations team to make the recruiting process more efficient, and build out foundational processes and tools for the team. Establish a rubric for departments’ specific onboarding to help ramp up new hires. Work with customer support, seller support, and trust & safety teams to identify areas for improvement based on data. Work with engineering team to revamp the shipping structure and build out services for sellers. Position supervises one (1) Business Operations Associate. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Economics, Sociology, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate work experience in the position offered, as a Manager, Consultant, or related occupation.

Must have experience with: working on the business operations or analytics team of a top-tier consulting firm or high-growth start-up; working cross-functionally with teams in Operations (including Trust & Safety and Customer Support); Go-To-Market; International Expansion; and Engineering, Product, and Design; excel, SQL, and data visualization tools: Tableau and Sigma to isolate trends; and managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Salary: $160,000 to $215,000 per year.
