Twilio, Inc. seeks Technical Lead in San Francisco, CA

Job Duties: Lead the definition, design and implementation of new software products to enhance and scale our messaging compliance onboarding platform. Own the APis, data pipelines, and storage layer of the compliance stack and also integrate with several internal teams and platforms. Not every problem has a textbook solution. Research the unknowns, implement and iterate. Educate your team as you go. Lead technical architecture discussions and help drive team's decisions. You will lead building the technical infrastructure required to extend to new country compliance requirements. Live and champion mature, high-quality engineering through writing tests, valuing code maintainability, documenting your work, etc. Perform code and design reviews and enforce development hygiene for the team. Work closely with engineering manager and product stakeholders to plan the Product and engineering backlog for the team. Mentor Junior Engineers on the ways of Twilio Engineering and empower them to grow in their roles. Telecommuting Permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or closely related quantitative discipline and one (1) year of experience in job offered or one (1) year of experience in software engineering, or related occupation.

Special Skills :
1. Distributed systems, applications, and platforms in a Java ecosystem;
2. NoSql, RDBMS, DynamoDB, or Postgres;
3. Kafka or SQS;
4. Jenkins, Maven, or Ant;
5. DevOps;
6. Agile processes and continuous integration and testing; and
7. Junit.

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Education, experience & criminal background checks will be conducted.

Salary: $212,800 – $266,000 per year.
