We are seeking a dynamic business development leader who has a passion for helping companies solve problems with effective, practical solutions.

Part-Time Outreach / Business Development Representative
The Outreach / Business Development professional will serve as the initial point of contact for new clients, developing rapport, understanding their pain points with hiring, and introducing them to BigHire's seamless process. In this role, you will work closely with the CEO on expanding BigHire's reach in Connecticut and managing the sales cycle. You will tap into existing and cultivate new leads, provide demos and partner with recruiting and management on client development and deal closure.

If you are entrepreneurial, motivated by financial independence and grasp the benefits of getting in on the ground floor, this role is for you. Strong preference will be given to individuals with experience working in the construction industry and the skilled trades. However, exceptional candidates without construction experience are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
Utilize multiple methods, including virtual and in-person networking, internet research and online resources, to generate and develop leads.
Deepen prospects understanding of BigHire and identify suitable services to meet their hiring needs.
Meet face-to-face if needed to sell lead (mainly in Connecticut).
Collaborate with BigHires marketing team to develop campaigns using email blasts, social media blogs, etc., to support lead generation efforts.
Contribute to the proposal process and development and delivery of pitch presentations and other sales/business development communications.
Manage your portfolio of prospects and new clients, leveraging the wider team to deliver (personalized) solutions as needed.
Utilize CRM tools to track and manage client development activities and report to the management team on a weekly basis.
Working knowledge of essential sales and business development methodologies in construction is a plus.
Experience performing lead generation and managing sales cycle for startups, a plus.

Necessary Attributes:
Strong conversational and business English skills for written and oral communication.
Excellent time management to meet deadlines and proactively manage portfolio, raising issues and opportunities as appropriate.
Experience using CRM systems such as SalesForce, Zoho or HubSpot.
Proficient in using business technology including email, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), telephone applications.
Experience with construction lead generation services.
Able to conduct market research using the internet.
Comfortable using social media for outreach and lead generation including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
Positive attitude with a go-getter approach.
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and willing to try new methods and collaborate with colleagues to meet targets.
Strong preference for candidates who live in Connecticut and New England.
What We are Offering You
Time commitment: 40 - 50 hours per month to start.
Role: Sales / Business Development
Job Type: Part-time (10 - 12 hours per week)

Salary: $22.00 per hour - potential for commission based on performance
