About the Role:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and directing all daily employee activities with our client within the food manufacturing industry. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of all aspects of production ensuring high quality food products are produced in accordance with all operating standards.

• Ensure and maintain a high level of sanitation, food safety, and safe working environment


• Review daily production schedules and ensure that staff and equipment are set-up and prepared to meet production requirements


• Proactively manage, coach, and develop employee performance


• Review hourly timesheets and approve hours for all permanent and temporary employees


• Ensuring the approved level of staffing per production requirement is utilized, including planning and approval of vacation requests


• Ensure that production adheres to established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)


• Facilitating and coaching meetings and problem-solving events

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous supervisory or management experience in the food industry (required)


• Ability to work the required rotational 7-day work week during seasonal production period


• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must


• Self-motivated with strong organizational, multitasking, analytical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential


• Must be computer literate including proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
