IT Partner Systems Developer - Manager (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - Boston, MA) - Responsible for design, development, and technical support of BCG's Global Partner Services Group (PSG) applications. Specific duties include: provide expert guidance to a team of internal and external developers and work with product owners, solution architects and scrum masters to deliver on the roadmap, and bring innovative ways to execute faster delivery for global BCG users; participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver on the squad mission; create technical designs in alignment with the architecture principles, design guardrails, and business needs; design and develop responsive and adaptive applications using frameworks including .Net Core and React, and perform application development using Dev-Sec-Ops and Dev-Ops; troubleshoot reported production tickets and provide timely analysis and resolution; research development tools, trends and best practices, and act as an advocate and promoter for items that should be considered for future initiatives; and communicate with product owners and business analysts to ensure requirements are understood and executed. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus eight (8) years of experience as a Software Developer, or related occupation, developing business applications in a commercial IT or consulting setting. In lieu of Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of experience as previously noted, BCG will accept a Master’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Software Developer, or related occupation, developing business applications in a commercial IT or consulting setting. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement is not applicable to section) – must possess the following: designing applications using OOP design patterns and principals, Compositions, and Test-Driven Development (TDD); working with .Net Core, C#, HTML 5, JavaScript and/or CSS; working with database technology including Snowflake, and/or SQL Server; programming and developing applications using JavaScript frameworks/library including jQuery, React, and TypeScript; performing code versioning using GitHub and/or TFS; performing cloud-native platform development and reengineering legacy apps to cloud using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Redis AWS services; designing and developing architecture workflows for resolving complex technological problems utilizing lucidcharts and/or draw.io; monitoring code quality metrics using Veracode, Acunetix and SonarQube; developing CI/CD DevSecops pipelines in GitHub actions to ensure continuous releases and deployments to applications; and performing daily Agile practices, attending daily scrums, and monitoring progress using JIRA and JIRA Align. Partial telecommute benefit available. Must report to and reside within commutable distance of the listed BCG office. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 45+ hours per week.
