Arcus Technologies, Inc. dba Kat Tech Systems, Inc. in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking Software Developers ( .NET) to design and develop software solutions. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of subject matter principles and concepts to perform the following duties:

• Develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications.
• Writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and Applications.
• Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
• Use programming languages to write new programs, expand, and update existing programs. Develop, test and implement new software programs.
• Work with Business Users and Analysts to understand the system/process/business requirement.
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Identify root cause analysis of issues and review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
• Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents.
• Write and design coding flow charts and models.
• Possess strong problem solving and decision making skills while using good judgment.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
• Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing those modifications.
• Preparation of training manuals for users and standard operating procedures for support team.
• Designing and developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences.
• Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.
• Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering (any field), or any related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.

In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Engineering (any field), or any related field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.

No travel; no telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S., which may require relocation at the end of each project.
