HTG is seeking a highly skilled and motivated 4G/5G core engineer to join our dynamic team. As a 4G/5G core engineer, you will be responsible for the testing and validation of 4G/5G core components and solutions. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the performance, functionality, and interoperability of 4G/5G core components and configurations.

In this role, you will:
Expert-level knowledge of systems engineering concepts (definition and analysis for requirements, performance, capacity, availability, reliability, scalability, etc.)
You will be a subject matter expert for Service Engineering a subset of the new 5G Standalone Core as well EPC (4G).
Experience with OpenStack cloud operating system, Docker containers and Kubernetes.
Telecom and networking experience (4G & 5G Mobile Core Networks, 3GPP standards), Cloud native experience (Kubernetes and associated tools, CI/CD, DevOps and Agile methodologies).
Private LTE Experience is required for both on prem and in cloud.
Hands-on work on 5GCore Network including deployments and configuration, testing and troubleshooting, data collection (Desired & Preferred).
Background and hands-on experience with Evolved Packet Core (EPC) network functions is highly desirable as a foundation for new, improved, and evolved service implementations in 5GC including PCF interactions with AMF, SMF, CHF, UDR, NEF and trusted AFs.
Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
In depth experience installing, configuring, and administering Kubernetes distributions Experience with Docker containers, experience with other containerization technology is an asset Experience with complex IT infrastructure architecture planning, design, and implementation.
AWS public cloud experience in development and architecture.
Utilize various software tools to proactively identify, investigate, and resolve anomalies with various key performance indicators (KPIs), log messages, call flows, and raw packets.
Strong experience in virtualized environment with hands-on experience on Linux/KVM Hypervisors and Open Stack, Kubernetes, and Docker with excellent debug skills.
Perform all aspects of network engineering including network design, performance monitoring, integration, upgrade and troubleshooting of EPC(4G) & 5G SA cores.

Required skills and experience:
Masters degree in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
3 to 4 years of related, hands-on experience in performance management and network and service assurance in 4G/5G networks
Knowledge and experience in developing/deploying cloud native micro-services in Kubernetes is a plus
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentations skills
Ability to interpret and develop detailed network/system drawing and excellent problem solving/analytical skills
Knowledge & experience with VPN, IPsec, SCTP, TLS, IPv4, and IPv6, and Routing Protocols/technologies. Ansible Tower, Playbook, REST API knowledge is a plus
Knowledge & experience with platforms framework and Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows, Cloud Native (CN), Kubernetes (K8s), Grafana, Kibana, Jaeger, Jenkins, Selenium, HP Rack-mount server & Server Blade platform. CNE (OpenShift or VMWare or Oracle), Openstack, and Kubernetes
Advantage Certifications CKA/CKAD/CKS and/or Certifications of Cloud like AWS and/or Terraform Certified would be an added advantage
