Your Role

Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our first product teams in Mumbai. Youll be improving the operations of our internal team of sports analysts across Hudl Assist, Wyscout, InStat and Volleymetrics products. These products are used by thousands of teams around the world, from youth clubs to the pros.

Example projects might include:


Improving the tools used to deliver training to sports analysts

Instrumenting our processes to facilitate continuous improvement for our operations team

Iterating on manual data collection workflows to improve speed and accuracy


As a Senior Engineer, youll:


Work with a cross-functional team. Youll collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Product, Design and Scrum disciplines to deliver full-stack web features. With our global team, these team members and stakeholders are located all over the worldso you may need to work evenings a few days a week.

Test new ideas. At Hudl, we iterate rapidly, deploying changes to the product hundreds of times a day across our Engineering team. Outside of working on concrete features, youll have the opportunity to propose solutions to more ambiguous technical problems and provide guidance to less experienced engineers.

Help improve analysis. Youll work to improve training tools, processes and manual data collection workflows used by our sports analysts to improve their speed and accuracy.


This role requires 5 days in the office per week, so we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in Mumbai.

For this position, we're able to offer a salary of between 14.25 - 23.75 LPA. Please note, this is a 1-year contract.


Must-Haves


Experience in mature, full-stack web applications. You have several years experience building across all levels of a web application, from the client-side code, all the way down to the database. You have a professional background in TypeScript, React, GraphQL, C#, Java, PHP, MongoDB, MySQL and/or AWS.

Technical leadership experience. Youve guided other Engineers through substantial product investments. Youre comfortable translating requirements, creating architectural proposals, breaking work into digestible increments, setting milestones, and providing mentorship to other Engineers during implementation.

English language proficiency. You have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Flexible schedule. We strive to maintain a healthy work-life balance, but in this role, it will be necessary for your schedule to overlap with stakeholders and collaborators across time zones.

Experience working with cross-cultural remote teams. Our product team is currently spread across the U.S. and Europe, and your remote collaboration skills and cross-cultural understanding will be essential to adapt to Hudls culture.
