What Youll Do:
Supplier Management:
Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure a consistent and high-quality supply of raw materials
Evaluate supplier performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement
Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize cost-effectiveness and reliability
Inventory Planning:
Oversee inventory planning and planning to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
Manage factory production and issue POs to meet demand
Implement best practices for inventory control, demand planning, and order fulfillment
Develop and maintain efficient systems for tracking and reporting inventory metrics
Third-Party Manufacturer Management:
Identify and select third-party manufacturers that align with the company's quality and production standards
Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party manufacturers, ensuring timely and cost-effective production
Collaborate with third-party manufacturers to optimize production schedules, quality control, and supply chain efficiency
Logistics and Distribution:
Streamline and optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times
Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective solutions
Implement technology solutions for real-time visibility and tracking of shipments
International Logistics (Import/Export):
Develop and implement strategies for moving ingredients, supplies, and finished products across international borders
Stay informed about international trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements
Collaborate with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all cross-border requirements
Quality Assurance and Testing Collaboration:
Collaborate with the existing Quality Assurance team to establish and oversee a robust quality assurance program for incoming ingredients and components
Provide input into testing protocols to ensure the safety, quality, and compliance of raw materials
Work closely with internal and external laboratories for comprehensive testing of finished products
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance
Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators to monitor and measure supply chain effectiveness
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the supply chain team
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain
Stay abreast of changes in regulations and proactively adjust processes to maintain compliance
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to meet short and long-term goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain initiatives with overall business objectives
Bring It!
Bachelors degree required, MBA desirable
At least 10+ years minimum experience in the S&OP process; and experience in a CPG organization is a plus
Advanced knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, and logistics
Knowledge of forecasting techniques and Supply Chain Analysis
Advanced knowledge in forecasting software including Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel: Pivots, Macros, Word, Outlook)
Working Knowledge of SQL and MRP experience is desirable.
Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle
A detail-oriented, numeric-sensitive, and organized person
Strong project management skill
