Join our client, a leading national chain of neighborhood retail stores that boasts unique quality products and the best customer service in the industry as an IT Financial Analyst, a key role supporting the company’s dynamic IT team. At the intersection of finance and technology, this role offers a unique opportunity to be a key player in processing purchase orders, invoices, telecom billing analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis project modeling.

Location: Onsite - San Gabriel Valley area

This is a 6-month+ contract role, with the possibility for conversion to FTE. It is expected to pay about 40-45/hr plus benefits

What You Will Do:


  • Financial Insight: Monitor and process IT service expenditures, ensuring contract compliance and reporting on variances. Conduct in-depth analyses of monthly invoices, performing a four-way match to ensure accuracy and offering root cause analysis on variances.
  • Strategic Procurement: Lead IT procurement activities, crafting and processing Purchase Requests (PRs) / Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Financial Controls: Work closely with the team to ensure IT accruals and general ledger entries are timely and accurate, maintaining high standards of financial controls.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring project status and milestones align with invoices. Evaluate, analyze, and gather requirements to provide financial support on IT projects through innovative price models and business cases.
  • Contract Management: Support the management and renewal of multimillion-dollar IT contracts. Engage with vendors, driving negotiations to secure optimal contract renewals.
  • Process Optimization: Consistently evaluate processes, recommending options and implications to implement improvements that enhance operating efficiencies.

What Gets You The Job: 


  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar field, showcasing a proven track record as a collaborative business partner with the accounting department.
  • Experience working with a high volume of invoices and purchase orders
  • Experience with billing analytics & data
  • A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, accounting, or finance is a plus.
  • Experience managing big data in Excel
  • Experience documenting process flows using Visio
  • Experience managing IT equipment procurement and inventory controls
