Account Manager for ChemTreat, Inc. in Glen Allen, VA to be responsible for sales opportunities specific to water treatment supporting DRI business and expansion opportunities to expand ChemTreat’s market position and expertise within a geography or an industry. Lead the creation, improvement, and implementation of strategies to promote efficiency, reduce risk, increase safety, in order to improve the customer’s operations and ChemTreat’s position in global DRI. Lead existing DRI customers and conduct daily account management functions consistent with the specialized nature of the technology and industry sector; communicate with customers, internal managers, and the ChemTreat Primary Industries Vertical leadership to promote efficiency and reduce risks within the water systems; participate in the customer’s safety programs, culture, and activities to ensure that safe work is an integral component of ChemTreat value certification; advance the state of the art in DRI water systems treatment for the benefit of the customer and ChemTreat’s Primary Metals team; develop key relationships with customers by identifying and engaging key decision makers, identify water systems priorities, facilitate training, direct problem solving, and collect data.



Requires: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related degree (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus ten (10) years of experience as an Account Manager or a related occupation managing accounts within the industrial water treatment sector, including five (5) years with direct reduction iron water treatment. Experience must include: DRI water systems and treatment including chemical application, wet chemistry measurement and data interpretation, troubleshooting, and corrective actions; Working with and addressing Midrex (OEM) processes, specifically how water and the process interact, consequences of process changes and how those changes determine what and where to feed water treatment chemistry; and DRI plant configurations and applying knowledge of each and how they impact the performance of water systems.
