Responsible for providing oversight for the San Francisco Bay area Rail Transit & System construction engineering team; support the design, construction, engineering, and project management of transit traction power systems, while leading a team of supporting engineers; manage design and construction stages of projects; lead the development of initial electrical system concepts; integrate complex electrical engineering and construction requirements into facility designs and finished construction products; work within multi-discipline project teams to deliver complex traction power programs; provide office and field expert traction power construction consulting; utilize and apply knowledge of rail construction, transit traction power systems, traction power construction projects, HV substation construction, SCADA systems, design management procedures, constructability reviews, IDS / DC MDS installations, site survey processes and civil/traction power testing/commissioning activities to perform assigned duties; communicate traction power construction and engineering concepts and decisions to clients and stakeholders; interact regularly with clients, including maintaining current relationships, attending client meetings, and developing new relationships; mentor and train junior engineers; manage construction efforts to deliver transit traction power systems including low, medium and high voltage traction power distribution systems; provide oversight of all aspects traction power construction projects; survey and analyze existing field conditions; and track, create and support program scheduling activities.

Salary: $208,000 per year (standard benefits also apply);

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Training: None;

Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Construction Manager, as a Property Construction Manager, as a Civil Engineer, as a Traction Power Specialist, as a Traction Power Construction Manager, as a Construction Engineer, or in a related occupation;

Will accept seven (7) years in the position above, as a Construction Manager, as a Property Construction Manager, as a Civil Engineer, as a Traction Power Specialist, as a Traction Power Construction Manager, as a Construction Engineer, or in a related occupation, in lieu of the primary education and work experience requirements.

Other Requirements: Experience must include five (5) years use of all the following: rail construction, transit traction power systems, traction power construction projects, HV substation construction, SCADA systems, design management procedures, constructability reviews, IDS / DC MDS installations, site survey processes and civil/traction power testing/commissioning activities.
