SALARY: $16.88/Hr. (NEGOTIABLE)
(Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)

POSITION SUMMARY
Works cooperatively with operations, engineering, and other DPW departments to ensure all Maintenance needs of Oneida Nation are being provided. Perform preventive maintenance on all Facilities for the non-gaming Facilities of the Oneida Nation as needed. Ensure high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained for the Oneida Nation Facilities. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Install, repair and perform preventive maintenance work at all DPW Facilities, emergency devices and mechanical. Duties include but not limited inspect fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, generators, building access, and facilities equipment.
2. Complete assigned Tribal maintenance projects to include, but not limited to building repairs, painting, remodeling, plumbing, carpentry, electrical projects, and HVAC repairs.
3. Troubleshoot and repair of building systems.
4. Document repairs and Preventative Maintenance using the Archibus Work Order System.
5. Ensure short- and long-range planning for all Facility maintenance.
6. Contribute to a team effort by working cooperatively with operations, engineering, zoning, and other DPW departments.
7. Assist with Custodial and Grounds Keeping responsibilities as required, to include, but not limited to shoveling, cleaning, removal of snow and ice, and upkeep of the grounds and buildings.
8. Ensure excellent customer service with all internal and external customers.
9. Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.
10. Maintain strict department security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department.
11. The above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based on organizational needs and/or deemed necessary by the supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Occasionally sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop, crawl, climb height, reach above shoulder, crouch, kneel, balance and carry twenty-four (24) pounds to fifty (50) pounds.
2. Work is generally performed in an outdoors setting with a high noise level. Exposure to natural weather conditions and temperatures, various dusts and mists, and normal debris and hazards common at construction sites may occur while performing outdoor duties.
3. A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of OSHA work safety standards.
2. Ability to work independently, handle multitasks, and meet strict timelines.
3. Ability to read, interpret and work from architectural drawings, blueprints and schematics and the Uniform building Code, Electrical Code and Safety Code.
4. Ability to work at heights using lifts or ladders.
5. Ability to prepare and maintain work orders.
6. Ability to operate and maintain forklift, snow blower, lawn equipment, hand tool, power tools and wood working machinery.
7. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
8. Ability to exercise good judgment in job assignments and personal capabilities and be able to communicate these needs.
9. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-worker at all levels.
10. Ability to obtain Lift equipment certification within one year of hire.
11. Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters.
12. Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.
13. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nations Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
14. Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nations Gaming Division.
15. A valid drivers license or occupational drivers license, reliable transportation and insurance is required. Must obtain a Wisconsin drivers license or occupational drivers license within thirty (30) days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state drivers license. Must be authorized as eligible to operate a Personal and Tribal vehicle under the Oneida Nations Vehicle Driver Certification and Fleet Management Law prior to actual start date. Must maintain drivers eligibility as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge and ability to work with computer systems, to include experience with DDC, building automation controls.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma, HSED Diploma or GED Certification; applicants age fifty (50) and older are exempt from this requirement; two (2) years of work experience with carpentry, electricity, plumbing and HVAC systems.
