Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineer LMTS in Dallas, TX:

Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Provide services in both first-party data centers and the public cloud via Hyperforce/Falcon. Use Kubernetes to abstract cloud-specific infrastructure and provide a cloud-independent Spark experience to our users. Help broaden our feature set and take us to the next level of scale, performance, maturity, and user-friendliness. Improve the performance and availability of Kubernetes and Spark. Lead development of new capabilities such as: interactive-latency Spark queries, failure-tolerant Spark drivers, dynamic executor scaling, multi-tenant resource isolation/quotas, job prioritization, and self-service provisioning. Serve as a mentor for other engineers and coaching on best practices for designing and operating reliable systems at scales at which failures are assured. Contribute to prominent open-source projects. Build deep expertise with Kubernetes and Spark. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).
