Job Title: Senior Corrosion Site Specialist

Terms of Employment: Full-time, 18-month duration, 35 hours per week, 140 hours per month. When working at the Nunavut client site, the Senior Corrosion Site Specialist will work 10 hours/day, up to 14 days consecutively, followed by the same number of days off.

Compensation: $100,000.00 per year. 20 days vacation per year. Health care benefits, disability insurance, and discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of gross salary are included. Salary subject to period increases at the employers discretion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performing on-site assessments that diagnose concerns both at physical asset and enterprise level (i.e. looking at the effectiveness of the management systems around corrosion);
Working shoulder-to-shoulder with client teams, so they can strategically adopt corrosion best practices and technology to reduce the associated business risks in their operations;
Developing and supervising specialist corrosion technical work;
Leading technical projects to address asset condition;
Carrying out inspections and QA/QC support;
Developing and running risk management programs;
Creating and delivering training;
Carrying out succinct report writing, presentations to leadership, coordination of teams and project management;

Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering in a related subject materials, corrosion, chemical, mechanical, electrical etc.
NACE qualifications e.g. coating inspector, specialist, other
At least 5 years of field experience in corrosion in mining operations
Experience in building corrosion risk management programs
