An opportunity has arisen to join our Professional Indemnity Claims Team as a Claims Advocate where you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive claims service to Marshs professional indemnity clients with a focus on technical expertise complex recoveries.

Due to the nature of the role, we can look at part time or full time applicants.


Department overview

You will be part of the Professional Indemnity Claims Advocacy Team which is based predominantly in London. The team works closely alongside the Professional Indemnity placement practice. The Professional Indemnity team at Marsh services a significant number of large, global professional services firms including a significant number of top 100 law firms, accountants, surveyors, architects and engineers. The claims team work closely with the placement practice and provide claims advocacy services on more complex aspects of claims.

We will rely on you to:

Work closely with professional indemnity clients, overseas offices and other colleagues in providing strategic, technical and tactical claims advice.
Guide the large clients through complex insurance claims under professional indemnity policies.
Advocate on behalf of Marsh clients with insurers.
Contribute to thought leadership on issues affecting professional indemnity clients.
Provide training for placing and claims colleagues.
Provide support to the professional indemnity team through the feedback of claims intelligence to product development colleagues.
Support the business in winning and retaining clients.
Manage client relationships from a claims perspective.
Capture actionable, aggregate data for use by clients in future pre-incident planning and risk management.
Comply with appropriate regulatory, systems and controls procedures.


What you need to have:

Experience of resolving complex financial and professional lines insurance claims.
Claims management experience.
Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship management skills.


What makes you stand out:

Knowledge of solicitors, accountants, healthcare professional indemnity clients.
Experience of presenting to clients and colleagues.
Experience of claims management for large corporates with significant claims volumes as well as complex individual losses.
