IT Senior Business System Analyst



Contract: 6 + months



Shift schedule: 

 




  • Mon-Fri 40 hours per week *Based on performance, looking to convert to full time after 3 months

  • Looking for someone who has worked in an agile team and has experience specifically with digital technologies (website, mobile app, etc).

  • Manager likes to see people who are investing in themselves through training and growing in positions, as he will get more value out of someone who is constantly learning even if they have less experience

  • Additional skills that are important - Scrum, Jira, Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch(link removed)>




 



PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Subject matter expert (SME) in one or more applications’ capabilities and features for users, owners, and administrators of solutions.

  • Keeps abreast of new Tools & Technology and functionalities across the application(s).

  • Plans, designs and recommends business processes to improve and support business activities.

  • Assists with developing the methods and procedures required to identify whether current business goals and objectives meet organizational needs.

  • Facilitates meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.

  • Analyzes and documents client's business requirements and processes and communicates these requirements by constructing conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries and volume estimates from organization.

  • Collaborates with work teams, departments, system leadership, staff, other IT groups, and technology vendors to define needs and facilitate solutions.

  • Provides input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and develops business specifications to support these modifications.

  • Creates test scenarios and develops test plans to be used in testing the business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated in to the system design.

  • Assists in analyzing testing results throughout the project.

  • Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried out through the entire project.

  • Assists in coordinating business analyst tasks on information technology projects, problem tickets and provide support to other team members.

  • Provides support, escalation response to production problem issues/errors. Performs root cause analysis and application resolution.

  • Provides on call second-level escalation response for client issues and application problem tickets

  • Assists in providing time estimates for project related tasks.

  • Lead and conduct conference room pilots and demonstrations.

  • Demonstrate solutions to client in a workshop setting.

  • Occasionally trains end users

  • Assignment of work and development of less experienced team members.

  • Ensure proper documentation and on-time delivery of all functional artifacts and deliverables.



 



Skills:




  • Three (3) years of applicable work experience required; 5-7 years applicable experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.

  • Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors: Communication, Ownership, Understanding, Motivation, Sensitivity, Excellence, Teamwork, Respect

  • Must practice the customer skills as provided through on-going training and in-services

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:



 




  • Expertise with Oracle PeopleSoft v9.x HR and/or Finance/Supply chain application modules

  • Experience on at least two (2) major PeopleSoft implementations or upgrades

  • Demonstrated experience with PS Query, SQL



 



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED



 




  • 2-3 years of experience requirements gathering, analyzing and documenting with SharePoint, Web Application, Intranet or Internet development projects

  • 2 years of experience documenting user design requirements for user interface in SharePoint, Web Application, Intranet or Internet implementations or upgrades

  • 1 year of experience with SharePoint 2010/2013 enterprise implementations preferred

  • Exposure to agile development methodologies

  • Exposure to application security technologies and approaches

  • Demonstrated knowledge of business analyst industry trends and standards

  • Team Foundation Server (TFS) or experience with similar code and documentation control tools is preferred

  • Proven ability to peer review functional and technical tasks

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.

  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.

  • Experience/exposure to the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Experience in application programming or application support preferred



 



EDUCATION:



 




  • Associates degree/2 years of college required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.



 



 



CERTIFICATIONS:



 




  • Experience/exposure to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), certification is highly preferred



 



WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
