Ambitious technology start-up located in midtown Manhattan seeks energetic, responsible and attentive Public Relations Interns to help support our organizational branding management.

Duties of this role include preparing press releases, crafting industry articles for publication, assisting on social media content, identifying and reaching out to industry and media publication channels.

The ideal candidate possesses strong journalistic talents, the aptitude to identify industry issues, a skillful ability to craft an argument into a written outline, and then the competence to convert that outline into an article ready for publication.

Responsibilities

• Fully support and help in the execution of the company’s PR strategy


• Draft outlines for press releases and articles


• Convert approved outlines into publication ready company PR copy


• Identify branding opportunities through research of key industry issues


• Craft effective social media content


• Identify and reach out to potential media channels and industry partners

Requirements

• A determined and ambitious desire to learn


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask


• Solid understanding of the different social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)


• Proficiency with computer platforms and applications (G Suite and/or MS Office, in particular)


• Great time management skills and the ability to prioritize work


• Attention to detail and problem solving skills


• Must commit to work 2-5 days a week
