The Senior Manager, Marketing is responsible for the development, execution, and management of the global marketing strategies and tactics that drive revenue growth, Clinical & Research Services and each business unit. The position is responsible for the creation and administration of the Marketing Plan (in close consultation with the Associate Director of Marketing), ensuring that activities are in line with strategic objectives, support various programs such as demand generation, public relations, sales enablement, customer acquisition, customer retention, and product evangelism and is accountable for marketing campaign performance. This position also holds responsibility for campaign budgetary management and management of analytics that can be translated into insightful information for the marketing team and business stakeholders.



 



Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing, the Senior Manager will manage the Digital Specialist & Marketing Content Manager, and is also responsible for the website, the strategy, management, and development of content. This role acts as the project manager for campaigns ensuring the marketing team completes projects on time, error-free and achieve campaign goals and will work closely with Business Unit Managers, Opportunity Development team, TIS, Creative and other members as needed.



 



Key Responsibilities:



 



Matrix-based Management and Oversight:  This position holds matrix-based responsibility for activities undertaken by the Marketing group. The incumbent will ensure that campaigns progress and that final deliverables meet the needs and budgets of stakeholders and project sponsors. The Marketing Manager will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, content providers and service providers (i.e. Multimedia and others) on deliverables, costs, and timelines. Matrix projects include: New product launches, multi-phased marketing campaigns, cross-channel outreach (combining web, social, webinar, tradeshow, etc), Marketing plan and reporting.



 



Media Plan and Advertising Management:  Responsible for the execution of the external print and digital advertising in conjunction with the Content Marketing Manager and Associate Director of Marketing. This includes identification of the desired media outlets issues, dates and specific ad content. The ability to collect understand and use analytics to evaluate the performance of various outreach platforms will be important. External advertising will be aligned with goals for growth and the market penetration strategy.



 



Marketing Campaigns, Assets and Resources Management:  Oversees the deployment of materials and information used in all marketing campaigns, webinars, seminars, and other marketing managed outreach.  Develop a strong marketing plan and campaign briefs that utilize multiple channels to increase awareness and develop new opportunities.



 



Critical elements of successful performance include project leadership, self-motivation, negotiating and problem-solving skills. The incumbent should have a good understanding of our marketplace, the creativity to develop marketing approaches and solid benefit writing and editing skills to ensure the development of all ads and collateral are impactful and resonate with potential customers. Other qualities include persistence, discipline, detail oriented, and ability to delegate and be persuasive. Requires exceptional interpersonal and customer care skills. Must possess both project management and personnel management experience.



 



Qualifications:



 




  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or business related field and advanced coursework Marketing or Masters in Marketing

  • 3+ years of experience in building, developing and leading a team of marketing professionals

  • 7+ years of direct marketing experience, with direct experience managing media campaigns (Print and electronic) and matrix-based marketing projects

  • Proven ability to drive innovative and effective marketing programs that generate results such as Lead Scoring, Account Based Marketing, and Web Personalization.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, and negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build networks influence and motivate others toward accomplishing individual and group objectives.

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM systems), Marketing automation systems and Web publishing and metric capture is preferred

  • Must be able to work with technical scientists to develop and edit marketing content and author content with considerable independence and flexibility to ensure quality, technical accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.

  • Demonstrated experience in formulating and successfully implementing projects/decisions, under tight timelines and pressure, which carry significant financial and business consequences.
