Summary

We are seeking a motivated Senior software engineer with strong Quality Engineering background proficient with mobile testing and development experience to join the Online Customer Service, engineering team. You will be involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from ideation through requirements analysis, design, and implementation. As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with the team to develop testing frameworks that automate interactions with conversational interfaces, visualize aspects of data quality, and quantify the accuracy of product suggestions and personalization.

 

• Familiarity with development and testing using Continuous Delivery, Kanban, or another agile methodology and DevOps


• Help with design, develop Client's Customer Support Platform test engineering initiatives as well as help the development of broad testing framework/unit, functional, build validation and integration testing.


• Identify key aspects from a test perspective and then answer questions like how, when, and where these key aspects will be tested (automation, scripts, manual).


• Mentor and lead other test engineers and continuously research industry best test technologies.


• Be able to estimate testing effort, prioritize assignments as well as to plan implementations.


• Design, implement, and articulate testing strategies, test automation, and test engineering technologies.


• Design and implement test solutions.


• Identify project risks, quantify risk/benefit relationships, and provide alternative solutions as well as risk mitigation.


• Offer deep defect root cause analysis and root cause solutions.


• Communicate effectively with team members and across teams.


• Develop industry and product technical expertise relevant to the business model.


• Execute test deliverables following software engineering principles. Innovate.


• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions, present test engineering solutions to others.


• Design, divide and negotiate test development with team members from Quality and Development teams.


• Contribute meaningfully to the success of the engineering team

• BS or MS in computer science or related fields


• 4-5+ yrs of web and mobile testing experience


• Can write automation testing in Java, Junit, Selenium and other internal Java-based automation frameworks for Frontend, SOA/Services and messaging components


• Hands-on experience on mobile applications writing automated tests for mobile applications using XCTest or Espresso


• Skill in various third-party libraries and APIs


• Familiarity with development and testing using Continuous Delivery, Kanban, or another agile or DevOps model


• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem is a plus


• Experience with REST APIs and web services is a plus


• Experiences in customer service is a plus
