SUMMARY

Procurement and Shipping is responsible for supervising the shipping operations and personnel in order to achieve excellence in executing and controlling assigned international forwarder(NVOCC) for procurement about spare parts about production facility shipping and shuttle trucking. This position will also ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and manage 3PLs.



Inbound is responsible for monitoring all raw material shipments from South Korea and China to H, GA plant and also ensuring service and cost are met with the targets as well as defining and implementing improvement projects



RESPONSIBILITIES

? Customs clearance and FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) management.

? Processing all transport orders and daily transport planning with focus on optimization of loads.

? Daily inventory coordination with plants, forwarders and warehousing companies.

? Performance monitoring against shipment plans and cost.

? Support plants with special/express shipments and late notice requests/changes.

? Spot market shipment carrier sourcing and cost negotiation.

? Resolve and monitor any service issues and inform relevant teams if necessary.

? Resolve quality issues and prevent their reoccurrence by working w/ other functioning teams. (i.e. Purchasing, Facility team, sales entity and etc.)

? Capacity planning for short and mid-term by working w/ Purchasing and Operation Planning Team.

? Monitoring and Plan daily spare parts receiving schedule.

? Customs clearance for equipment, spare parts, and handling related certificates and other documents.

? Customs clearance for returning poor condition raw material.

? Identify strategies to improve inventory control through cycle counting and production data entry.

? Monitor, identify, and implement improvement opportunities for cost and service

? Support the evaluation and selection of new 3PLs.

? Validate and approve 3PL invoices for payment, and monitor logistics cost development.

? Provide management and oversight regarding raw material inventory control.

? Set procedures for reducing importing cost. (Utilizing Port CY, ODCY, and etc.)

? Managing on-time and in-full service losses if relevant.

? Generate weekly inbound KPI and forecasting reports.

? Monitoring the interface with logistics providers where applicable.

? Maintaining Logistics master-data.

? Monthly and annual operating cost report for inbound logistics. Management of required certifications. (if needed, e.g. ISO/OHSAS)

? Revise and establish operational procedures for overall logistics operation. (i.e. SOP

? Analyze operations on a continuing basis and make necessary improvements to ensure operating

efficiencies across all functions.

? Oversee the preparation and execution of the daily load plans and shipping schedule in coordination with the planning department.

? Direct the efforts of the shipping team, effectively communicate workload requirements and expectations, and keep the team abreast of status.

? Ensure good housekeeping practices, safety rules, and customer requirements are followed by all personnel.

? Support and work closely with human resources and safety to plan, develop and implement facility policies and goals.

? Oversee the dispatching and scheduling of local shipments.

? Direct workforce to achieve gains in productivity and cost effectiveness while retaining good labor relations.

? Notify production and customer service of all shorted orders and overruns.

? Ensure that physical inventory counts and all the other inventory control functions are properly completed. This includes cycle counting when initiated by the Controller.

? Ensure shipping documentation is complete and accurate.

? Check and manage logistics procedures, human resources and outsourcing.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Entry level employee)

? A bachelor’s degree in related field

? 0~3 years of of supply chain operations with logistics experience

? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access with strong analytical skills

? Ability to work in cross functional teamwork environment with other areas of the business and providing on-site support as needed

? Fluently English



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

? CPIM, CSCP

? Strong knowledge of SCM and logistics

? Intern Experience in high-volume and multi-site distribution with a solid understanding of

FMS, TMS/EPR systems highly desired
