ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Able to work with the controller in multiple projects


• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules accurately


• Record and track finished goods inventory


• Prepare and enter journal entries to QuickBooks


• Analyze revenues, commissions, and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis


• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

REGULAR DUTIES:

• Assist with financial and audits


• Assist with preparing quarterly payroll and sales tax returns


• Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls


• Act as backup support for various office roles


• Communicate with vendors regarding AR collection


• Prepare monthly commission payments


• Other projects as requested.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALITIES:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance


• Strong understanding of accounting theory


• 5+ years accounting/finance experience; CPA a plus, but not required


• Highly detail oriented and organized in work


• Ability to meet assigned deadlines


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus


• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives


• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office applications, and QuickBooks


• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
