X-ray, CT Technician



Contract: 8 + weeks (Immediate need)



Job Summary:

• X-ray/CT Tech will be orientated to department procedures, policies and scan protocols by current techs and supervisor in department.  Expect traveler to be able to perform exams independently with in 2 week of starting.

General job duties:

• Perform Radiologic exams using CR and DR equipment, operate C-arm for operative and pain procedures, Fluoroscopy exams, and assist Radiologist with procedures.  Perform CT exams – all diagnostic exams including Head, neck, spine, Chest, abdomen and pelvis.  Includes CTA exams (link removed) will work primarily in surgery, x-ray and CT

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: 

• X-ray – Carestream CR and DR, Carestream portable x-ray, Siemens and Philips C-arms.  CT: Philips 64 slice and 16 slice. EMR – EPIC, PACs - SECTRA

Required skills and minimum years of experience:   

• Two years experience in a fast paced environment.


• Two years experience in X-ray  & CT


• Experience performing scans in an OR setting


• Profiency in all exams in general job duties.


• Registered as Radiologic Technologist and CTtechnologist

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required:

• ARRT (RT) - required, (CT) - preferred.

Shift or schedule requirements:

• Must be able to rotate days,evenings, nights, and weekends.  


• May work  independently on overnight shifts.  


• Weekends required – call and shifts.
