Our food manufacturing company is looking to fill a Food Safety and Quality Manager in the Creston, IA area. This FSQ Manager will oversee the application of food safety standards in the food industry, working with quality standards throughout all phases of food prep and distribution.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Comply with Food Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety and Quality Food Products as a Core Value.

  • Provide leadership in the development, training, and verification/validating of all quality systems, including all aspects of food safety, food quality and sanitation.

  • Maintain consistent communication and foster teamwork between all local personnel, departments and shifts, as well as, other company locations and external customers and resources.

  • Ensure company policies and procedures are fairly administered between departments and shifts.

  • Responsible for developing annual FSQ and sanitation budgets and cost control throughout the fiscal year.



Job Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field.

  • 5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in a food plant manufacturing environment to include quality system responsibilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Experience or knowledge of all applicable food industry related quality systems.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of GFSI Standards.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed to other plant locations.
