Responsibilities




  • Proactively generate leads and solicit high-value shippers, including contract freight opportunities.  

  • Focus on building relationships with high-level execs by understanding their shipping needs and providing the most efficient solutions.

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the market to provide competitive quotes and negotiate annual bid renewals.

  • Collaborate with operation teams to ensure that customer needs are understood and supported.

  • Use established tools, software, and processes and ensure all data is updated and accurate.

  • Spend ~ 50% of the time conducting outside sales visits to close business.

  • Manage multiple priorities and maintain the flow of business information with a sense of urgency.

  • Responsible for building a profitable book of business and achieving sales goals.



Qualifications




  • Must have at least 3 years of truckload sales experience.

  • Experience and ability to build a $1.5M to $3M in gross profit book of business.

  • Entrepreneurial sales approach as there are no set territories.

  • Aptitude and appreciation for selling in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and follow-thru abilities.

  • Strong work ethic with a team mentality.
