Deputy Project Lead:



This requirement is in anticipation of, and contingent upon, an award for conducting Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) support for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) of Program Executive Office, Missiles and Space (PEO M&S). The OCIO provides IT support to PEO Headquarters (HQ), 6 PM Offices, external Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine organizations, as well as, various foreign countries with cooperative agreements. Currently the OCIO supports approximately 2500 desktop users and 300 external users. Anticipated contract award date is 1 March 2021 with need for immediate presence to support transition activities.



Duties include:




  • Acting as the Project Lead when the Lead is not available

  • Supports formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.

  • Remains current and well versed in the latest IT technologies and provide oversight and guidance in the planning, design, implementation and integration of all current and future projects.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.

  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.

  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.

  • Defines project scope and objectives.

  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.

  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.

  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.



Required:




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology

  • 10+ years’ experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • IAT Level II Certification: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP

  • Able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) prior to the start of work. 



Desired:




  • ITIL Level 3 Certification

  • MA/MS Degree in Information Technology or a related field and/or 10+ years of relevant experience.



Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required. This is a full-time position located in Huntsville, AL.
