Job Overview:
Looking for a self-motivated and self-sufficient network/systems specialist. You will be responsible for the day-to-day IT operational support for existing multi-platform environments. You will be instrumental in the design, development and implementation of new projects, system integration, and complex network setup.
This position stipulates strong hands-on technical skills to provide high-level technical services and strategy in a fast paced, multi-faceted and growing hospitality environment. This position will design, implement and troubleshoot technology related problems that might include routing, datacenter design, intermittent packet loss, latency issues, system connectivity, and equipment failure.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hands on experience in architecture/design, implementation & administration of data/VoIP networks
- Expertise in routing & switching technologies & platforms,
- Expertise in network systems solutions and analyzation of network performance, allowing for the planning of necessary enhancements using disciplined network administration processes
- Hands on experience in voice, WiFi gateway setup and maintenance
- Isolate and resolve network related service problems, diagnose and correct problems resulting from component failure or normal use of the network
- Establish and Implement network management policies and guidelines to ensure the maximum availability of the client networks.
- Understand hardware and software capacities in order to modify or enhance high quality network system infrastructure
- Stay abreast of industry trends in order to proactively identify areas for growth, improvement, and development with the capability to implement industry best practices
- Implement, and integrate network solutions based on Cisco and HP technologies including
- Implement and integrate network solution based on Ruckus technology
- Hands on experience and understanding of Microsoft Server setup and administration
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is in Computer Science or Information Systems is required.
- Certifications preferred: CCIE, Avaya or Mitel, Ruckus, Microsoft
Skills:
- Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills to drive organizational change Knowledge of computer network hardware, software and architecture.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization;
- Ability to articulate complex ideas, comprehend written and verbal communications, and possess excellent presentation skills.
- Experience with advanced network concepts and technologies: QoS, CoS, VoIP, flow control
- Must have relevant hands-on experience with the following technology or equivalent:
- Cisco & HP switches, routers, VPN, VOIP, and wireless access
- An in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of System Network design and management.
- Supervisory experience in leading major projects in both an international and domestic environment.
