Position Overview

The Business Systems Administrator (BSA) will define how software applications will support and improve our products and services, business activities, workflows, and processes. With expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, the BSA will understand critical business processes, and identify requirements for software solutions (ERP, CRM, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Integration, and Analytics). As a key position for the executive management, this role will highly impact business operations improvements and help us to scale for our fast-growing business.



Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or similar relevant specialization) or equivalent professional experience.


• 4+ years administration of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and customizations.


• Familiarity to perform minor coding changes and tweaks.


• 2+ years of project management related experience.


• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Strong verbal and written skills.


• Understanding of requirement gathering and testing of web-based applications and SaaS services.


• Experience in creating requirements specifications based on Architecture/ Design / Detailing of ERP Business Processes.


• Experience gathering requirements and documenting Use Cases using tools like Confluence.


• Ability to facilitate a team to consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions.


• Ability to ask strong questions to help the team see areas that may lead to problems.


• Excellent interpersonal skills and solid communication with all levels of management.

• 3-5+ years of experience with X++, SSRS, MS SQL Server and proficiency with AX database structure is preferred


• Experience in MS Visual Studio is preferred.


• Experience with the following systems is preferred: SolidWorks, PayPal, Paylocity, Microsoft 365, Avalara Tax, and Red Maple CC.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 in production and non-production environments, plan for future versions administration, problem resolution, support, process mapping, development, testing, security & training.


• Customize and develop different modules of Dynamics AX including AR, AP, GL, Inventory Management, Cost Accounting, Warehouse Management, Procurement and Sourcing modules.


• Develop and work with business users and vendors to create solutions that align with defined business logic, goals and objectives, and determine the technical and operational feasibility.


• Develop diagrams and flowcharts to assist development team in their understanding of the software development solution.


• Prepare functional requirements by analyzing current workflows to improve the quality and efficiency of the application.


• Ensure requirements are understood and approved by stakeholders.


• Identify and document ongoing maintenance requirements for any new or existing systems or procedures.


• Work with QA to test and validate developed features against requirements and coordinate end user validation.


• Coordinate change control protocols that ensure the business approval of production deployments.


• Work with Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to estimate project budget, create timelines of technical deliverables.


• Report project status updates upon request to high level stakeholders, end users, and IT software development management.
