Human Resources Manager Overview:



Implement HR strategy at a local level to include; performance management, talent acquisition and management, policy and practice, employee relations, coaching, and organizational development.

 



Human Resources Manager Job Duties:




  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.

  • Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; directing the processing of benefit claims to Corporate HR;

  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.

  • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:




  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field

  • 5+ years HR practical experience in a high-volume 24X7 manufacturing environment, or similar in California

  • Corporate training experience helpful

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and Mandarin language a must.

  • Strong MS Office skills are required

  • Must be highly flexible and capable of handling multiple and shifting priorities

  • Must enjoy a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Possess a sense of urgency and persistence

  • Possess excellent verbal and written skills

  • Ability to "think outside the box"

  • Must be self-motivated with  a strong ability to prioritize work

  • Natural coaching skills must

  • Ability to work independently and employ effective organizational, project and time management skills
