The Assembly Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks in the service shop. Assigned tasks may include, equipment disassembly, inspection, repair, hydrostatic pressure testing, lubrication and paint. AT’s will also assemble new equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY
• Perform all assigned tasks in compliance with BH HSE policies and procedures.
• Write a hazard assessment prior to starting work
• Participate in safety meetings
• Able to use hand and power tools to complete required tasks
• Complete paperwork associated with assigned tasks
• Operate forklifts and cranes
• Keep work stations clean and neat
• Repair valves, manually operated and actuated
• Repair wellhead equipment
• Assemble new valves and wellhead equipment
• Paint equipment in a paint booth, wearing a respirator
• Operate pressure testing equipment and hydraulic tools.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Branch Manager
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work first and second shift and required overtime
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes
• Must be able to comply with entry and random drug and alcohol policy, using hair follicle testing
• Must be physically capable of working in a shop environment.
• Must be able to meet background check requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of wellhead and gate valves.
• Experience in repair and or service of wellhead and gate valves.
