Site Director Responsibilities: (Independent Living for Youth and Young Adults ages 16-21)





Staff Management - Directly responsible for ensuring that the Independent Living Specialist team (and other staff members) efficiently and proactively monitor, document and regulate the behavior and daily lives of all youth residents while developing their quality of life skills.




  • Oversee the day to day operations of the facility including staff supervision.

  •  Ensure residents attend all required meetings, appointments and etc.

  • Attend required meetings with residents such as court hearing, TDM’s. CFT’s medial etc.

  • Maintain and improve processes and procedures of all staff related responsibilities

  • Develop the monthly schedules by position and shift per requirements of North Staff

  • Report and take corrective actions with staff members (including documentation)

  • Attend and co-facilitate bi-monthly staff meetings as needed

  • Ensure staff are appropriately engaging newly arriving residents in accordance with the North Star Mission and Vision

  • Ensure staff members are representing and adhering to the professional standards and vision of North Star

  • Provide on the job training and coaching for all staff

  • Conduct 90-day and annual performance evaluations

  • Manage and train staff on operational tools such as, dashboard, rounding form, ipads, etc.

  • Ensure all records for Resident documentation is current, accurate, complete and in compliance of all licensing, state and North Star requirements



Facilities Management - Tracking, managing and executing facility needs as related to OLR licensing standards (Article 74)




  • Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing coverage exists at home site

  • Ensure all resident appointments and transportation needs are communicated and fulfilled

  • Ensure all records for each facility are maintained at home location and updated in the frequency required by Licensing; Contracts; Risk Management; and other regulatory State and Federal entities. As example, such files/logs include; fire drill, carbon monoxide, resident activity logs, etc. (this list is not all inclusive)

  • Assist Administrative team in coordinating and communicating resident training programs



 



Compliance – Manage compliance with all State Licensing and Contract regulations




  • Ensure all staff attend required training to remain compliant with OLR Article 74.

  • Ensure all records and documentation for both resident and staff files are updated, accurate and in compliance with OLR Article 74

  • Professional Development & Coaching - Implement training to ensure the orientation of newly hired staff and the professional development of existing staff

  • Ensure all state required training and North Star additional training is completed by prescribed timelines in accordance with OLR Article 74



ALL APPLICANT'S MUST:




  • Have a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position

  • Have minimum 5 years working with youth and/or specialized populations

  • Be able to lead a team of independent specialist while meeting critical deadlines for documentation and follow-up

  • Be able to multi-task and successfully delegate responsibilities to appropriate

  • Be an excellent problem-solver

  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Education. Master degree preferred.

  • Be familiar with OLR Article 74

  • Experience with Department of Child Services and other agencies supporting foster youth is a PLUS

  • Pass a Background Check

  • Valid Driver's License

  • CPI Training

  • Initial Health Training

  • Physical less than 6 months old showing proof of physical ability to perform the job and free from communicable diseases

  • TB Test

  • 3 professional references from current and most recent supervisors and 3 personal references from unrelated individuals
