We are currently seeking a Mechanical Drafter to assist in producing drawings of components and materials for medical optical imaging systems.



Key Responsibilities (“Do”):

 

• Develop detailed production drawings for medical systems using Solidworks


• Working with engineers, produce solid models from sketches and concepts


• Perform basic tolerance analyses to ensure manufacturability


• Modify drawings, BOMs and specifications as needed


• Submits and modifies document change orders (DCO) in Mastercontrol

Results Expected (“Deliver”):

 

• Produce models and drawings capable of being used to make production parts and assemblies


• Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided


• by engineering.


• Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of the product.


• Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.


• Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards, and DCO documentation.


• May work with system management including file maintenance, backup, and storage.


• Submits and modifies document change orders (DCO) in Mastercontrol.

Qualifications:

 

• Must be proficient with Solidworks


• 5+ years of drafting or mechanical design experience


• Mechanical Engineering Associate Degree


• Experience gaining approvals using document control systems


• Experience with OrCAD


• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to others in different functions, at various levels.
