Social Worker- LMFT / LCSW

We are looking for full-time or part-time

The Licensed Mental Health Professional, LCSW or LMFT, provides psycho-social assessment, crisis intervention, group, individual and family therapy, case management, and discharge planning.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: (may include, but not limited to the following)

• Works with the interdisciplinary team in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.


• Plans and implements appropriate group, family, and individual therapy.


• Maintains cooperative working relationships and effective communication with local law enforcement, county personnel, community resources, and other outside agencies as appropriate.


• Coordinates care with outpatient providers and resources to ensure a safe and effective aftercare plan.


• Provides therapeutic intervention in crisis situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in behavioral science with current CA license of LCSW or LMFT is required

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO:

• Knowledge of mental disorders and their treatment as well as psycho-social and family issues pertaining to developmental delays and mental illnesses


• Effective communication including initiating individual and group discussion, listening, clarifying, and facilitating interaction among group members


• Writing skills to effectively document assessments and interactions with patients


• Understanding of goal setting techniques and safety planning


• High degree of knowledge and strategies for dealing with a variety of people from varying educational and socio-cultural backgrounds

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must pass a physical exam and drug screen, and have TB test
