Sanitation Team Member 



Shift May Vary Between 10:30pm - 7:00am 

Pay Rate 11.75, $1 raise after Hired on



• Dry clean production areas before beginning the cleaning process.

• Remove trash from all garbage cans

• Clean production line equipment and surrounding areas, as required to pass inspection

• Clean drains per requirements to insure they pass inspection

• Assist in the setup of the room to include proper configuration of tables and machinery and also the setup of machinery to insure an efficient morning start up.

• Insure that all required documentation is complete and accurate

• Sweep and mop all uncarpeted floors as needed

• Clean all bathroom facilities, including toilets, urinals, mirrors, sinks, floors, walls, doors.

• Empty garbage from operations office, break rooms, production prep room, dish room, hot kitchen and outside of the building as needed

• Break down boxes and collect cardboard in the prep room

• Set up can disposal for prep room operations and maintain that area throughout the process

• Operate bailer for all cardboard items

• Help hang plastic for condensation as needed

• Assist with condensation as needed.

• Assist in the dish room area as needed

• May include shoveling snow and spreading salt in cold weather months.

• Re-stock supplies in the break room and restrooms as needed

Education High school diploma/GED equivalent- Must be at least 18 years of age

Experience and/or Training Previous work related experience in food manufacturing, sanitation is preferred but not required

Leadership and Management: Must be self- motivated and driven to succeed

Work Environment

This position is performed in a temperature controlled environment where temperatures fluctuate between (20-70) degrees Fahrenheit. The employee will also be working outside in a variable climate as needed.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing & walking for long periods of the day. In addition, you will be bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing crouching during the day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 70 pounds. The employee must be able to perform repetitive motion type tasks throughout the day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

Non-slip footwear is required in addition to safety glasses in all operational areas of the building and in/around the bailer and compactor.

Cut resistant gloves are required when handling opened cans and lids and when bailing cardboard.

Vinyl bibs, full arm vinyl sleeves and face shields must be worn depending on assigned tasks.

Goggles are required when using undiluted chemical.
